

KABURAYASAI --The Battle against Kamakura--

1333, Yoshisada received a order from the emperor, and rised an army to subdue the Kamakura Shogunate at Ikusina shrine. Yoshisada made a surprise attack which used an ebb tide, and destroyed the Kamakura Shogunate. After that,he continued a battle on the side of the emperor. However, he was defeted by the Ashikaga's soldiers soon and died.
We praises the honor of the Yoshisada, so we hold a festival "Kaburayasai" on May 8th when Yoshisada raised an army at Ikusina shrine. Elementary schoolchildren who dress up as soldiers shoot arrows for Kamakura.
