a company with more than 50 dancers and its own full symphony
orchestra, is Canada's premier dance company and
ranks as one of the world's top international dance
companies. Founded in 1951 by English dancer Celia Franca, the company was established as a classical company and it is still the only Canadian company to present a full range of traditional
full-length classics. The company not only presents the classical
repertoire but also embraces contemporary works and encourages
the creation of new ballets and the development of Canadian
choreographers.

Fort York ヨ−ク砦

Fort York dates from 1793 when John Graves Simcoe decided to construct a
garrison to protect Toronto Bay from American invasion. Since Toronto was a
garrison town, it's not surprising that it had a high proportion of breweries and
taverns. Soldiers were allowed a penny a day to buy beer which would have
been brewed locally. There were two breweries near the Fort on Garrison Creek
because creek water was considered especially good for brewing.1812年の米英戦争で攻防の舞台となる.現在は博物館となっている.

Casa Loma in Torontoカサ・ロマ

Casa Loma is the unique legacy of Sir Henry Mill Pellatt, a prominent Canadian financier, industrialist and military officer of the early
twentieth century. An unabashed romantic, Sir Henry engaged the noted architect E.J. Lennox to help him realize a life-long dream -
the creation of a 'medieval' castle on the brow of a hill overlooking Toronto. Based on a life-long fascination with European castles, Sir
Henry borrowed the most pleasing elements of Norman, Gothic and Romanesque styles to create Casa Loma.
