高速道路の両側は畑が続いているが山のかなたの山すそには家並みが見えてき始めた。いよいよダーラナ地方の中心都市ファルンの町に入ってきたわけである。それに伴い多少車の通過量も多くなってきたようである。特に大型のトラックの車の数が非常に多いことである。荷物を運搬するためにこの国道を走っているのである。
高速道路は交差点ごとにロータリーが出てくるが、あまり車が通過しないので交通信号よりもこのロータリーの方が非常に合理的で、待たされずに交差点を通過することができた。

車の前方にダーラナ馬が見えてきた。
非常に大きな馬の模型が道の横に立っている。
ダーラナ地方の入り口に来たことをこの馬の模型が示していた。
このダーラナ地方では木工細工で赤い馬の模型を作るのが非常に盛んである。
やっとついたわけである。
この地方は非常に手工芸が盛んな地域がある。
このためノルウェーに行く前にぜひともこのダーラナ地方によって、手工芸の品物を購入して帰りたいと思っていた。
ダーラナ地方の中心はファルンである。

Nature and the race color with a beautiful forest the lake thickly remain
and the treasure house of a Swedish handicraft. The image of a red Dalarna
horse is reported to have come to the Dalarna provinces.

town of Ｆａｌｕｎファルンのロータリーで高速道路を降りて、ファルンの町の中心街に入って行く道路を下って行った。
ここには有名な博物館をはじめとして、いろいろ見るべき施設が集積をしている。そして、ここはまたノーベル賞作家であるニルス少年の不思議な旅の作家Selma Lagerlöfが生まれた所でもある。またカールラーソンというスウェーデンの有名な画家がいたとこでもある。特にこのカールラーソンの妻はカリンラーソンがその家を刺しゅうをはじめとした工芸品で家の中を飾っていることで有名であった。このため彼らが住んでいたお家は現在博物館になっている

ファルンのロータリーで高速道路を降りて、ファルンの町の中心街に入って行く道路を下って行った。
坂下の前方に中心市街地の町並みが見えてきた。
このファルンの町の中に入って行く道路の両側にはガソリンスタンド、コンビニエンスストアなどいろいろな店が立ち並んでいた。
さらに中心部に向けて進んでいくと、中心部にひときわ背の高い教会の建物風の建築物が見えてきた。
ヨーロッパでは町や村の中心には普通教会を置いているのが普通なので、そこを目印に車を走らせていった。

ストツクホルムから約２００km

A modern average town continues. About 200km from It is a car and there
is a Curl
Larssons pavilion in Sundborn of 20 minutes from Falun. The room is
decorated with ivy which the wife pounds and a lot of embroideries.

Falun centrum川の橋を渡った中心市街地
すると中心市街地と思われる町の真ん中に大きな川が流れていてその川の橋を渡ったところ、ダーラナ博物館への看板が出ていた。周囲を見渡すとショッピングセンターやレストランそして歩行者専用道路には地元の住民の人がショッピングを楽しんでいる風景が見られた。まさに町の中心部についたわけである。

Falun centrum - Dalarnas museum-ダーラナ博物館
博物館はちょうどファルンの町の中心部にあった。大きな博物館の看板が出ているのですぐわかったが、駐車場もその博物館の前に無料の駐車場は準備されていた。車を駐車場に入れるときにわれわれ以外の他の外国人観光客がレンタカーに乗ってこの博物館に見に来ていたのであろう、車を駐車場に入り始めた。
