INT. IN THE APARTMENT 4TH FLOOR DAYTIME
The rap noise becomes harder than yesterday. The door of Takeru's room opens and Takeru, who looks just woke up, comes out of the room. He looks nervous. Takeru starts walking toward the interior of the floor and the woman call at him.

WOMAN'S VOICE
Takeru?

Takeru turns around. Christine Burt, who is cute white and has a beautiful blond hair, stands behind Takeru and smiles.

CHRISTINE
Hi.

Christine waves her right hand to Takeru. Takeru sets his hair in confusion and smiles at her.

TAKERU
Hi, Christine. You've got home now?

CHRISTINE
Yeah. You've just woke up?

TAKERU
Um...yeah. The sounds was noisy.

CHRISTINE
Well. It is daytime now. You should be awake.

TAKERU
You're right.

CHRISTINE
You're right,too. This is noisy.

Christine makes a wry face.

TAKERU
So, how's your paper? It is about "The relationship between America and Japan after the WW2," isn't it?

CHRISTINE
Yeah. Actually I need your help.

Christine puts her hands into her bag and grabs some papers.

CHRISTINE
I researched in the library but I don't get this point. Here. I don't really understand this"cultural imperialism."” I got some images but...

Takeru looks down on the point Christine points.

TAKERU
"Cultural imperialism", um...difficult. I guess...

Christine stares at Takeru.

TAKERU
After the WW2, Japan was occupied by the U.S. Government for a while. In those days, the American bring lots of American culture in Japan. In that time, Japanese people need the entertainment, art, music and so on. So they accepted them. This was not happened only Japan. This cultural communication in those countries lead the decline of traditional cultures of those countries.

Takeru finds Christine staring at him. Takeru start staring at Christine. Christine smiles attractively.

CHRISTINE
Keep going.

Takeru turns to himself and smiles.

TAKERU
Well, um, This acceptance of American culture and decline of Japanese traditional cultures are called "Cultural imperialism"” I think.

CHRISTINE
I see. Thanks.

Christine smiles attractively.

TAKERU
No problem.

Takeru smiles in embarrassment

CHRISTINE
How do you think? American culture invaded your culture?

Takeru is stuck for the answer.

TAKERU

CHRISTINE

Christine waves her right hand again and passes Takeru through and tries to go into the left door to Takeru's room and turns around.

CHRISTINE
Takeru? Do you have any plan on Christmas Eve?

TAKERU
No. Why?

CHRISTINE
We'll have a party in my friends room here. Will you come?

TAKERU
Oh, That's good. Yes, I can go.

CHRISTINE
Good. I'm grad to invite you.

Christine smiles and wave her hand again, and goes into the room. Takeru follows her behavior with his eyes and smiles. Small hand pads Takeru's shoulder. Takeru is surprised at and turns around. Yoko Suga, who is a Japanese girl looks like a boy having short hair, stands behind Takeru.

INT. THE LIVING ROOM OF TAKERU'S ROOM DAYTIME
Yoko sits on the table and is reading Takeru's printed paper.

YOKO
WOW!(Japanese) That's great! Do I have to write a lot like this in a college?

Takeru brings two cups from the kitchen and gives one of them to Yoko.

YOKO
Thanks.

TAKERU
(Japanese)
You'll be a undergraduate from next semester, right?

YOKO
(Japanese)
Yap.

TAKERU
It's gonna be hard. You may force to write 10 pages from the beginning.

YOKO
(Japanese)
Oh, I'm scared. It'll be different from ESL.

TAKERU

ESL is the place to study English. College is the place to study IN English.

YOKO

Yoko use abusive language in English. Takeru looks at Yoko with amazement.

Takeru freezes.

YOKO

Where are you, Takeru? It is on Eve. It's a Christmas Party, you know.

Takeru implies Yoko leave. Yoko stands up with dissatisfaction.

YOKO

TAKERU

No. I will understand how hard writing paper is.

YOKO

You are cheating me. I'll pick you up.

TAKERU
(Japanese)
I'll try to do my best. See you later. Bye.

Takeru forces Yoko to go out of his room and sighs.

TAKERU
(Japanese,whispering)
How smart woman's guess is!

INT. CHRISTINE'S ROOM NIGHT
Half naked Christine lies down on the bed with Rob Hanon, who is muscular man having beard, and plays with him. Rob sighs.

ROB
I'm exhausted.

CHRISTINE
You did too much.

Christine bursts out laughing. Rob follows her.

ROB
I don't mean that. I'm talking about my condition. I lost my physical strength recently.

Christine turns serious face.

CHRISTINE
It is caused by the drug?

ROB
Maybe. It is getting lost.

CHRISTINE
Hey, Rob. Stop it. Don't do it. It'll make you trouble much more.

Rob makes big sigh and stands up, and start wearing cloths.

CHRISTINE
Hey...

Rob wears a jacket and turns to Christine.

ROB
All right, all right. This deal will be the final one.

CHRISTINE
What do you mean by this deal?

ROB
By the way, do you invite someone to the party?

CHRISTINE
Why?

ROB
Did you invite that guy? That Japanese.

CHRISTINE
Yeah. Why?

ROB
That's my party. I don't wanna invite someone I don't know.

CHRISTINE
I've already invited. I can't decline.

ROB
If you REALLY want, it's OK.

Rob throws up.

CHRISTINE
I don't like that words. What's the matter with you?

Christine stands up on the bed.

ROB
See you.

Rob runs out of the room. Christine becomes hysteric and throws the pillow to the door. The pillow hits right after Rob closes.
