INT. 4TH FLOOR THE LIVING ROOM OF TAKERU'S ROOM NIGHT
The door opens slowly and Takeru comes in.

INT. THE BEDROOM OF TAKERU'S ROOM NIGHT
Takeru comes into the bedroom from the living room and walks to the bed.

TAKERU
(Japanese)
Son of a bitch!

Takeru kicks the bed and then suffers from the pain.

TAKERU
(Japanese)
Oh, shit!

Takeru turns to a table and sits down with a mortifying face. He looks at his paper and takes a pen, and starts writing something but stops soon and he holds his head. Takeru makes big sigh and stands up and falls down on to the bed.

INT. 7TH FLOOR ROB'S ROOM NIGHT
There are full of people dancing, sucking cocaine. Yoko sucked cocaine becomes a little bit high. She makes a sigh with nice feeling and looks around.

YOKO
...where is he?

Yoko starts walking.

YOKO
Takeru?

Yoko looking around walks toward the interior room. The door of the interior room opens and Christine comes out with anger. Yoko finds Christine and goes to her.

YOKO
Hi! Did you see Takeru?

Christine turns to herself, is surprised at Yoko and starts at her.

CHRISTINE
Um...he went back to his room, I guess.

YOKO
Really? Son of a bitch!(whispers) Thank you.

Rob comes out of the room. Christine finds him and goes back to be angry.

ROB
Oh, you're...

Rob finds Yoko.

YOKO
Oh, Hi. I'm Yoko. I was with Takeru in this morning.

ROB
Oh, yeah. Your name is Yoko?

Rob talking to Yoko looks at Christine.

ROB
I'm Rob. Nice to meet you.

YOKO
Me too.

Rob and Yoko shake their hands.

ROB
Could you come to the room. There is a small party there.

YOKO
Really? That's sounds nice.

Yoko smiles.

CHRISTINE
I leave.

Christine throws up and tries to get out of the room.

ROB
Hey, Christine!

Rob tries to follow Christine. Christine ignores him and leaves the room.

INT. 8TH FLOOR IN FRONT OF JEFF'S ROOM NIGHT
Bobby sees his watch.

BOBBY
It must have be begun.

SAM
It's quite.

JAY
Anyway, let's go in.

Bobby, Sam and Jay take out guns and take their position besides the door. Bobby nods to the others.

INT. 4TH FLOOR THE BEDROOM OF TAKERU'S ROOM NIGHT
Takeru lies on the bed and looks at the ceiling. He finds something and wakes up.

TAKERU
Yoko!

Takeru gets off the bed and tries to goes to the living room but the lights turns off suddenly. Takeru is surprised.

INT. THE HALL OF THE BACKSTAIRS NIGHT
Christine meets the blackout when she comes down to the 5th floor hall. She looks around with anxiety.

INT. 7TH FLOOR THE LIVING ROOM OF ROB'S ROOM NIGHT
The customers are confused by the blackout. Jeff and his fellows are in the room.

JEFF
(Chinese)
What happened?

CHAN
(Chinese)
I don't know. A power failure?

LI
Oh, I saw the note that there is a blackout from 0:00 midnight for a while.

YUEN
(Chinese)
I saw it, too. It must be on a bulletin board in the entrance of this apartment. It says this is a maintenance. This may goes to dawn.

JEFF
(Chinese)
Gees. The most residents don't know it.

Jeff laughs in a self-mocking manner. Rob comes to Jeff with confused face.

ROB
Hey, Jeff.

JEFF

ROB
What do we have to do? It's a power failure.

JEFF
Maybe, we better move to the other place.

ROB
OK. But I have to find Christine first.

JEFF

ROB
She's gone.

JEFF

ROB

Yoko is coming closer to Rob and Jeff.

YOKO
What's going on, Rob?

ROB

JEFF

Rob looks at Yoko over. Yoko doesn't understand what is going on.

Jeff says and starts clean up the sample of marihuana and cocaine with Chan, Yuen and Li. Rob waits that Jeff leaves from Rob and takes a bunch of marihuana.

INT. 8TH FLOOR THE LIVING ROOM OF JEFF'S ROOM NIGHT
Bobby, Sam and Jay are searching the room.

BOBBY
Nobody is here. There must be a party tonight.

SAM
Maybe the other room.

Bobby stops.

BOBBY
Shit! Let's leave here.

Bobby, Sam and Jay leave the room.

INT. 4TH FLOOR THE ELEVATOR HALL NIGHT
Takeru pushes the button that is lighted by a flash light, but it doesn't work.

TAKERU
(Japanese)
Damn it! It is a blackout.

Takeru goes back to the floor.

INT. 4TH FLOOR NIGHT
Christine feels her way to her room in a dark floor and finds a light ahead. Takeru is lighted up by the flash light. He is trying to open the key of his room.

CHRISTINE
Takeru!

Takeru is surprised at her voice and turns to her.

TAKERU
Christine!

Christine runs to Takeru.

TAKERU
The party is over?

CHRISTINE
No. I've just get out of there. I'm sorry that time. He is strange recently.

TAKERU
I don't mind. It is right my English is poor.

CHRISTINE
Don't say that. I know some foreign students but you are the best.

TAKERU
Thanks.

Takeru and Christine looses their story to talk and starts at each other.

CHRISTINE
I was so surprised because there was a blackout so sudden. It was scared that coming down on the back stair in the dark.

TAKERU
I don't know why the blackout has happened now.

CHRISTINE
Shall we search the reason?

TAKERU
How?

CHRISTINE
There is a switchboard at the basement. Let's go to check it.

TAKERU
Well, it may be interesting.

CHRISTINE
Then, here we go.

Christine urges Takeru go first and she sticks to his back. Takeru and Christine go to the back stair.
