In February 2015, Haboro Teuri Kankosen was out of business.

Maruha Houraisuisan (Godzillaiwa Kankou)'s "Kamuiwakka 55" tourist boat (14gt) struck on a sunken rock at around 2:20 p.m. on June 26, 2019, and 6 passengers sustained minor and serious injuries.

On July 29, 2020, the Garinko 3 (370gt, LOA: 45.55m, Beam: 8.5m, Pass: 235) for Okhotsk Garinko & Tower Co., Ltd. took the water at Miura Shipbuilding in Saiki, Oita prefecture.

At around 1:13 p.m. on April 23, 2022, the "KAZU I" tourist boat (19gt) operated by Shiretoko Yuransen reported to the 1st Regional Coast Guard Headquarters that she was "inundated" off Shiretoko Peninsula. 2 crew members and 24 passengers were all feared dead.

White Lily Asahikawa, which operates Shiretoko Sightseeing Cruiser Dolphin will be out of business on March 31, 2024.
