As of 2014, all condo cruise ships except The World have not entered services yet.

In September 2014, French cruise line Compagnie du Ponant revealed it is to change its name to Ponant.

Celestyal Cruises is a new brand of a Cyprus-based Louis Cruises (ex-Louis Cruise Lines).

In December 2014, Virgin Cruises was established.

Newly-established Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line is taking over Celebration Cruise Line in February 2015.

NYK Line sold Crystal Cruises, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of NYK Group Americas Inc. to Genting Hong Kong Limited in 2015. NYK projects a sale gain of JPY 26.1 billion as extraordinary income in the consolidated financial results for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016.

Hana Tourism Cruise and Yacht Management Co., Ltd. was out of service in 2015.

In December 2015, Diamond Cruise was founded in Shanghai, China. It will begin to operate the Glory of the Seas (ex-Chinese Taishan) in April 2016.

In December 2015, two South Korean shipping companies, Hyundai Merchant Marine Co.,Ltd. and Panstar Co.,Ltd. founded Korea Cruise Line. It is due to start offering cruises in August 2017.

In January 2017, All Leisure Holidays, which operated cruises under the Swan Hellenic and Voyages of Discovery brands, ceased trading.

In June, 2017, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company announced that it will start operating a cruise business called "The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection". It's set to start business in 2019.

Cartoon Network Wave's CN Wave was due to enter service in late 2018.

Cruise Retirement is planning to start operating later in 2018.

Vidanta Cruises is due to enter service in autumn of 2019.

On July 3, 2020, Eckero announced that it will shut down its Birka Cruises subsidiary due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Blount Small Ship Adventures (ex-American Canadian Caribbean Line) was out of business due to the novel coronavirus pandemic in August 2020.

Jalesh Cruises (Zen Cruise) is shutting down due to the novel coronavirus pandemic as of October 2020.

Ocean Builders will rename the ex-Regal Princess(Pacific Dawn)to the Crypto Cruise Ship "Satoshi", and plans to use the ship as a condo in Panama from January 2021. And then, cancelled.

Storylines and Brodosplit signed a newbuild contract for a 2025 delivery of a residence cruise ship in August 2022.

The Villa Vie Residences is expected to enter service in 2024.

On February 21, 2024, Hornblower's subsidiary, American Queen Voyages (ex-American Queen Steamboat Company) suspended operations and filed for bankruptcy.
