High Teaハイ・ティ−、 Level 70, The Westin Stamfordウェスチン・スタンフォ−ド７０階”Compass Rose Restaurantコンパス・ロ−ズ・バ−” にて２７・１２・９７、午後１２時３０分コンパス・ロ−ズ・バ−Compas Rose Bar は、ビッフェ・スタイルのハイ・ティ−が楽しめる代表的なスッポット、７０階からのシンガポ−ルを見渡せる場所としても有名． たくさんのお客で混雑していた． 入るのに行列を作ってしばらく待たされる． ５年前に比較して、サ−ビスの質、料理の内容いずれをとっても、少し質が落ちたかな・・・・・・・・・ 残念である． The tallest hotel in the world, The Westin Stamford soars above its sister hotel The Westin Plaza. オ−チャ−ドロ−ドOhcard Roadにてショッピング２７・１２・９７、午後２時 オ−チャ−ド・ロ−ド（上オ−チャ−ド 通り 、下オ−チャ−ド 通り、Bras Basah Road）さすがにシンガポ−ルを代表する繁華街だけあって、 たくさんの人でごった返していた． 伊勢丹の地下食品売り場では愛媛青果連、西宇和農協の ミカンが４００円／Kgで売られていた． The shopping area centred on Orchard Road and extending from Tanglin all the way to Orchard Road and Bras Basah to Marina Bay is regarded as the Fifth Avenue, the Regent Street, the Champs Elysees, the Via Veneto, and the Ginza of Singapore. Ohcard Roadオ−チャ−ドロ−ド にてショッピング２７・１２・９７、午後２時東南アジアで起こっている金融恐慌がウソのようにたくさんの人々で賑わっていた． シンガポ−ル・ドルはヤヤ強いようであるが、マレ−シア、インドネシア、フィリッピンなどの貨幣価値はこの時点で半減していた． われわれのショッピイングにはメッリトであったが、雇用の首切り、貨幣価値下落による生活必需品の入手難などの影響が出てきており、いずれ日本にも波及するだろうと心配をしている． Its many shopping centres are filled with a myriad of goods from around the world.In each you will find jewellery,watches, sporting goods, designers fashions, cameras, electronic products, artefacts,and curios - and virtually whatever else your heart desires.Interesting or unique shops are hightlighted |
