The Nanton Lancaster Society and Air MuseumThe Nanton Lancaster Society was formed following the Town of Nanton's suggestion in the fall of 1985that perhaps a group could be formed to, "take care of the Bomber." Care of the aircraft had been left in the hands of Town Council which had other more pressing concerns than arranging for regular painting and other maintenance. At this time virtually no one had been in the aircraft for twenty-five years and very little was known, in Nanton, about Lancasters in general or FM-159 in particular. |
