ボウ川キャンプ場


ドライブイン”サスカチュワン・クロッシング”から、マウント・ウイルソン展望台を経て、しばらく走ると、
ボウ川沿いに、車が停まり、キャンプ地があった．
昼過ぎているので、思い思いに弁当を食べていた．

カナダでよく見るキャンピングカ−が、何台もとまっていた．
家族で、キャンピングにきているのだ！
ここは、マウント・メアリ−、マウント・サスカチュワンが展望できるところ！！！

河原まで、きて水に手をつけてみた
冷たい！
水量は豊富で、水不足等別世界のことである．
しばらく、横になり休息する．

キャンプ地をあとに、ボウ川沿いを上流に向かってのぼる．

さらに、車を走らせ、シラス・マウンテンの展望台を通過．．．．．
ドライブイン”サスカチュワン・クロッシング”から、４０Ｋｍほど走った当たり．．．．

Drive with care,

obey posted speed limits, and make
allowances for other drivers (who may not be following this
advice!). Slow down in bad weather, or stop somewhere safe
and wait it out. Here in the mountains weather conditions can
change rapidly. It may even snow in summer, at higher
elevations. Watch out for cyclists -- they may be difficult to
see, especially if you are driving an RV. Slow down and be
prepared to stop if you see animals beside the road. Warn
other motorists of roadside animals by flashing your hazard
lights. If you wish to stop and view wildlife at roadsides, pull
safely out of traffic first. Remain in your vehicle, and move on
after a few minutes.

サンワプタ峠に到着

ドライブイン”サスカチュワン・クロッシング”から、５０Ｋｍぐらいきたところで、道がカ−ブし、急に登り勾配となった．
しばらく、坂をのぼると、たくさん車が駐車して、大勢の人が車から降りて来ているところに到着．．．．．
ここがサンワプタ峠！！！

サンワプタ峠からの絶景！！！

筋を縫うように、はるかな彼方まで、白い道筋−アイス・フィ−ルド・パ−クウェイ−がバンフまで続いている．
サンワプタ峠からのアイス・フィ−ルド・パ−クウェイ−の絶景は、よく写真に撮られていることで有名！

ブライダル・ベ−ル滝−サンワプタ峠−

サンワプタ峠からは、反対方向に、ブライダル・ベ−ル滝を望むことができる．
さらに、この峠を通り越したところから、カナディアンロッキ−最大の観光拠点”コロンビア大氷原”が見え始める．
また、峠には、バ−カ−・リッジの展望台、サスカチュワン氷河の見えるハイキング・トレイルもある．

サンワプタ峠--Brewster tour-

車に乗って、出発しかけたら、カナディアンロッキ−の定期観光バス−Brewster Gray Line -が、やってきて、
バスから、観光客が降りてきはじめた．
