フログネル公園−Vigeland park-
オスロ市内で1番最初に行ったのはフログネル彫刻公園である。
この公園は市内の山側に存在していた。
かなり大きな公園で公園全体が彫刻で飾られている。
この彫刻公園のテーマは、人間の一生がテーマとなっている。
彫刻家グスタフ・ヴィ−ゲランの手によって子供から老人までの人間の一生のテーマをそれぞれ彫刻に表して、それをこの公園一帯に展示しているもので。
入り口に車の駐車場があったので、そこに車を止めて車を駐車した。
 In addition to the
many sculptures,
all of which show humans in various poses and stages of life
, Vigeland also made majestic wrought-iron gates that are found at various
places from entering the park and around parts of the park. Vigeland also
planned the complete layout of the park placing the various sculptures,
a granite mosaic labyrinth and the monumental monolith 16.75 meters tall
containg 121 human figures made from a single
block of granite.

われわれがそこは歩いていると、オスロ市内の小学生であろうと思われる一団が先生に引率されてこの公園に入ってきた。
小学生が30名いただろうか、学校の教育の一環でこの彫刻公園を生徒に見学させに来たのである。
小学生であるのでふざけ合いながらこの公園内の中を行ったり来たり走りやっていた。
朝はまだ早いせいか、団体の観光バスによる一般の観光客はまだ来ていないようであった。
このためゆっくり見学することができた。

ノルウェ−の彫刻家グスタフ・ヴィ−ゲランにより、”人間の一生”を、テ−マに、生まれてから、老いて死に行くまでの人間の彫刻２００体ほどが、公園内にちりばめられている．
かなり広い、りつぱな公園だつた．
The Vigeland park is located west of Oslo's city centre and is one
of the truly great wonders of Oslo. The park contains a total of 190
sculptures in bronze and granite, all created
by the world-famous Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland.
The sculpture group which makes "Life of man" a theme is made
from the carver "Gustav Vigeland." of Norway.

まず公園のエントリーであるが、両側に高い木立が、それが中央の彫刻公園へと続いている。
これに沿って中心を向いて歩いていくと橋が現れてきた。
橋の手すりの上には両側にやはりそれぞれ人間の一生をテーマにした彫刻が飾られていた。
かなりな数である。
この大きな橋を歩いて渡ると中央部に続くことになる。

彫刻公園の中心には円形の丸いエリアがあった。
台座の上にひときわ高い彫刻からなるモノリスがそびえていた。
そのモノリスは人間の形の集団から構成されていた。
われわれがそのモノリスに到着すると、そこには先に海軍であろうと思われる軍隊の観光客が記念写真を撮っていた。
台座にもきめこまかい人間の彫刻が盛り込まれている。
ひときわ高いこの台座の頭の上から公園内を見通すと非常に展望がいい。
Closer up, one gets a better idea of the immenseness of the monolith. It
took three people thirteen years (1929-1942) to cut the figures into the
granite block, which weighed 260 tons and took three months to move from
the harbor through the streets of Oslo and up to the park in 1926.

ヨーロッパ特有の幾何学的な整った規則正しい公園の区画が見渡すことができる。
写真でもわかる通り、このモノリスの台座から公園内を見ると非常に大きなことがわかる。
本当に大きな公園である。まさに、彫刻のひとつひとつに着目すると人間の一生が丁寧に彫り込まれていた。

の前で、遠足にきていた小学生が、遊んでいた．
台座にも人生の縮図老若男女ガ刻まれている．

本当に生まれてから成長して、そして結婚して子供を産んで老人になってなくなるまでの一生がこまかに彫刻されている公園である。

帰りに博物館によることができた。
この博物館の前には胸像が飾られていた。
これまた代表的な彫刻がいろいろと展示されており、ミュージアムショップにはいろいろなグッズが展示即売されていた。
まさにノルウェーが、オスロ市民が誇りとする彫刻家を顕彰した公園である。
Those who visit the park may see the original
models in full size of the Fountain and the
Monolith in the Vigeland Museum, which is situated five minutes south of
the park. In the museum you will also find
Vigeland's early works, those which are mostly
influenced by August Rodin, and his woodcuts.

ヨーロッパ特有の幾何学的庭園模様-フログネル公園−Vigeland

ひときは高い台座の上から公園内を見通すと、ヨーロッパ特有の幾何学的庭園模様が見事に公園内に展開されていた。
幾何学的な模様で庭園内が配置されている。公園の中心部からまっすぐ入り口に向かって一直線に伸びている線が中央線である。またこれにクロスするように直角方向に散策路が伸びている。
