次にわれわれが行ったのは、オスロの中心商店街カ−ルヨハンスガ−テ通りである。
早速刺しゅうのキットを買い求めたいというので目的の刺しゅう店に急いだ。
むろん中心商店街は歩行者天国となっているので、車を止めることができない。

正面突き当たりが、王宮、オスロのショツピング中心街
歩行者天国として、賑つている．王宮から、ここまで、歩いてきて、両側に本格的な店が並び始める．
この通りには、ノルウェ−手工芸協会の店”フ−スフリ−デン”、陶磁器メ−カ−の”ポシュグルン”、金銀製品の老舗”ダ−ヴィ・アナセン”などがある．

このためいろいろこの周囲を車で走り回って国立美術館の駐車場に止めることにした。
もちろんこの駐車場は有料である。この駐車場から歩いてショッピング街まで散策しながら刺しゅう店の店を探して歩いた。
地図を頼りに店を探していたがなかなか出てこないので、歩行者の地元の方に何人かに質問をしながらやっと目的の刺しゅう、にたどりつくことができた。

さらに歩いていくと、だんだん人込みで賑つてきた．オスロの中心ショツピング街である．
われわれが到着したときはまだ朝が早いせいか歩行者天国の人通りはそんなに多くなかったが、われわれが刺しゅう店でショッピングを済ませて、出てくるとすでに歩行者天国は人でごった返していた。
この中心商店街通りにはたくさんの有名なブランド店が店を連ねていた。

he who buildt the palace at the
end of the road. The royal castle was finished
in 1858. Karl Johan was
one of Napoleons officers. His name was Jean
Bapetiste Bernadotte and became
king of Sveeden and Norway.
この通りは写真に見ればわかる通り石畳になっていた。
この石畳の通りを前方に進んでいくと王宮に到達する。
この間がオスロのメーンストリートとなっている。
この通りに国会議事堂とか、美術館とか博物館とかがオスロ大学とか軒を連ねている。
正面行き当たりの王宮は大きな広場公園から構成されている。
王宮の前に道路が通っている。
