Background: Higuchi Takanari Sensei (7th Dan, Aikido Takemusu-kai, Kyoto, Japan)

 1947 October Born in Kyoto, Japan.

 1963 April Became a disciple of Tanaka Bansen Sensei (Osaka Aikikai) at Kyoto Dojo, Kyoto, Japan.

 1967 June Received Aikido Third Dan from Ueshiba Morihei Sensei, the founder of Aikido.

 1969 October Demonstrated at All Japan Aikido Embu Taikai for the Founder's memorial at Budo-kan, Tokyo, Japan.

 1970 August Trained at Iwama Ibaraki Dojo under Saito Morihiro Sensei.

 1971 September Became a Shihan (master) member at Osaka Aikikai.

 1973 May Started Kokutetsu Kyoto Koan Aikido Dojo, Takemusu-kai.

 1975 December Received Aikido Ohgi (the secret of Aikido) from Tanaka Bansen Sensei.

 1978 December Received Aikido Sixth Dan from Tanaka Bansen Sensei.

 1979 November Edited and published Aikido Shiseki Angya, a journal of Aikido's historical sites.

 1980 July Became Shihan at Kyoto Butokuden Aikido.

 1981 August Completed Iaido instructor's workshop (special attendance).

October Became a member of Budoka's Haiku club "Saoshika".

 1985 March Received Iaido Fourth Dan.

April Offered the first Aikido Hono Embu (offering of the sacred demonstration) at Kurama Temple, Kyoto, Japan.
Since then Sensei has offered the Aikido Hono Embu annually.

May Founded Kurama-yama Aikido Shuyo Dojo at Kurama Temple.

 1986 April Offered Aikido Hono Embu for Kurama Temple during the once-in-60-years ceremony.

 1992 March Founded Aikido Takemusu-kai Honeydew Dojo ("Honeydew Aikido" for short).

 1993 September Published "Takemusu Aiki" to commemorate the 20 years of Aikido Takemusu-kai of which Sensei has been president.

 1994 May Founded Aikido Takemusu Dojo, blessed by Takayasu Kido,
Kendo Hanshi (8th Dan), during the opening ceremony.

 1996 May Founded Hanazono University Aikido club, as Aikido Shihan.

 1997 July Received Aiki Ken Hiden Mokuroku (master's degree of Aiki sword) from Saito Morihiro Sensei.

October First visit to Honeydew, California, offering the first workshop abroad at Honeydew.

 1998 August Second visit to California, offering the second workshop in the Mattole area.

 1999 September Third visit to California, offering workshops at Santa Cruz,
Santa Rosa, and Willits, adding to the third annual workshop in the Mattole area.

 2000 April  Administorator of NPO Aikido Takemusu-kai.

 2002 April  Japan Foundation Seminar 「AIKIDO- -Mind and Techniques」,
The Japan Foundation Kyoto Office.

 2003 November Published "Traditional Aikido" to commemorate the 30 years of Aikido Takemusu-kai of which Sensei has beer the president.

 2007 June Guidance and the course of the aikido by the promotion of
The Japan Foundation in California Ukiah state in the USA.

 2011 October Aikido class at Kyoto Prefectural International Center.

 2013 November Published "Hiden Aikido" to commemorate the 40 years of Aikido Takemusu-kai of which Sensei has been the president.

 2014 April Offered the 30th annual Aikido Hono Embu for Kurama Temple.
