Join us live from Washington, D.C. for America's biggest and best-loved birthday party: A Capitol Fourth 2007. Hosted by veteran actor Tony Danza, the nation's premier Independence Day holiday concert will feature performances from some of the country's best known and award-winning musical artists including recording artist Elliott Yamin (American Idol), Grammy Award-winning gospel legend Yolanda Adams, the king of Rock enf Roll, Little Richard, country music sensation Dierks Bentley, accomplished young actress and singer Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) and Tony Award-winner Bebe Neuwirth (more to be announced) with the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Erich Kunzel. The spectacular concert and show brings PBS viewers an unrivaled evening of patriotic and uplifting music followed by a stunning display of fireworks over the Washington Monument.

Capping off the show will be a rousing rendition of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" – an audience favorite and now A Capital Fourth tradition – featuring the U.S. Army Herald Trumpets and complete with live cannon fire provided by the United States Army Presidential Salute Battery.

The The Choral Arts Society of Washington, under the direction of Norman Scribner, returns to the show. The Joint Armed Forces Color Guard of the Military District of Washington will also be featured.
