Jurong BirdPark

Located on 30 hectares (50 acres) in the heart of Jurong, the BirdPark features 8,000 birds of 600 species from all over the world. There's also a 3-hectare (5-acre) walk-in aviary re-creating a natural habitat where 100 species of birds fly free. The BirdPark includes the world's largest collection of Southeast Asian hornbills, as well as flamingos, macaws, cockatoos, penguins,
toucans, and more. An air-conditioned monorail traverses the grounds, but a walking tour is recommended. Take the MRT to Boon Lay, then SBS bus 194 or 251.

Use your arrow keys to move the spotted wood owl. Try to collect all the food, but remember to avoid the creatures roaming the park. The creatures won't hurt you,
but you will get a time penalty for bumping into them. Once you collect all the food, the doors to the Botanic Garden will open.

冷房の効いたペンギン館･････外の暑さにひっかえ、ひんやりした空気！！
天国のような気持ちよさ・・・・・・・・・
餌付けが行われている間は、餌を求めて水の中を全速力で泳ぎ回っている．

The BirdPark

also works closely with international organisations to preserve many birds from extinction. It established a Breeding and Research Centre (BRC) in 1988 to focus its efforts on breeding highly-valued and endangered species. The centre has 110 breeding aviaries, supported by nurseries, a laboratory, an egg-incubation room and food preparation facilities.

Jurong Reptile Park

In 1990, the Jurong BirdPark's

commitment to conservation was tested when a colony of Grey Herons was threatened by a development project in the mangroves at Kranji in Singapore. A rescue project was mounted to save the eggs and abandoned chicks. The BirdPark saved 26 chicks and 28 eggs. Of the 14 eggs discovered fertile, 11 were hatched successfully at the Park.

パ−ク閉店の５時
まだ、雨はどしゃ降り・・・・タクシ−を電話で呼ぶ人、
タクシ−乗り場で捕まえる人、パ−ク前は人で、ごった返していた．
現地の人が、タクシ−に乗車を拒否されたので、試しに遠距離を頼むと運良く載せてくれた・・・・・ジュロンからオ−チャ−ド通りのマリオット・ホテルヘ

Breeding at the BirdPark

started immediately after it opened, with initial efforts focused on flamingoes and Humboldt Penguins. In 1978,
the BirdPark recorded its first successful breeding of the Great Indian Hornbill in captivity.
