世界遺産−恐竜発掘現場”ダイナソ−州立公園”世界遺産−恐竜発掘現場”ダイナソ−州立公園”は、恐竜の町”ドラムヘラ−Drumheller. ”の中心を流れる、レッド・ディア−川沿いに直線で、さらに東１２０Ｋｍの地点にある．恐竜の町”ドラムヘラ−”から、Ｒ５６号線で６５Ｋｍ南進、一度１号ハイウェ−に出て、１号ハイウェ−を５６Ｋｍ東へ、そこでＲ３６号線へ降りて、北へ１２Ｋｍ、Ｒ５４４号線で東へ２５Ｋｍ行ったところに案内表示が見える．これがベスト！！！！ くれぐれも、近道をしょうと思って、直線に近い道を選ばないこと！ 舗装できていないひどい道を延々と走らされることになるので・・・・・・・・ Dinosaur Provincial Parkgained its international reputation and designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site primarily because of the large number of dinosaur fossils exposed in its deeply erodedbadlands. ”ダイナソ−州立公園”フィ−ルドステ −ション内の展示風景This displayis made up of fossils excavated from one of the manyCentrosaurus bone beds in Dinosaur Provincial Park. The remains of these large ceratopsian dinosaurs are preserved in vast assemblages of disarticulated bones of centrosaurs which appear to have drowned in a massive flooding event. How many different bones can you identify? If you would like to join one of our field crews working in one of these bone beds this summer check out our Field Experience '97. |
