4月28日土曜日12時、われわれは二神智子のホームスティー先の家族を訪問することにした。
彼女がちょうどお昼の12時に訪問することを事前に約束していた。
われわれは、とも子がこのホームスティー先の家族にお世話になっていることに大変感謝をしていた。
このため、われわれは日本からプレゼントを持って訪問することにした。
at 12 o'clock April 28,
We decided to visit the family of Tomoko's
homestay.
She had been promised to just visit at 12 o'clock of daytime beforehand.
We had expressed our gratitude for Tomoko's being indebted to this home Sute's family.
Therefore, we decided to visit with the present from Japan.
ホームスティー先の家は、ちょうどパーマストンノースの閑静な住宅街の中にあった。
われわれが車で訪問した家は、道路に面したゆったりとしたスペースの庭を持っており、見るからに手入れの行き届いた立派な建物であった。
玄関には、訪問したわれわれを迎えるかのように1匹の猫が座っていた。
奥さんとお嬢さんがわれわれをにこやかに家の中に迎え入れてくれた。
奥さんは、われわれに部屋の中をいろいろ案内してくれた。
この家は、かなり大きなそして立派な家で、隅々まできれいに手入れが行き届いていた。
Homestay's house was just in a still residential street in Palmerston North.
In the house which we visited by car, It had the garden of the space done to face the road in a relaxed manner, and going was a reached splendid obviously building to maintain.
One cat was sitting on the door like inviting us who visited.
The wife and the Miss radiantly embraced us in the house.
The wife variously guided in the room to us.
This house was considerably big and beautifully well-groomed to every corner in a splendid house.
とも子が使用している部屋も、広くて立派な部屋であった。
家の中には、2匹の猫と1匹の犬が飼われていた。
われわれを歓迎してくれた奥さんは、外交的な朗らかなタイプの魅力的な人であった。
彼女は、われわれのために手作りの料理を用意してくれていた。
お嬢さんもお母さんの血筋を引いて、美人であった。
われわれが部屋の中で歓談していると、この家のご主人のヤングが家に帰ってきた。
The room which Tomoko was using was a wide, splendid room.
Two cats and one dog were kept in the house.
The wife who had welcomed us was a person attractive a cheerful diplomatic type.
She was prepared a handmade dish for us and existed.
The Miss also pulled mother's lineage, and was a beautiful woman.
Mr. Steve Young of the master in this house came back to the house when we were talking in the room.
彼は見るからに、実業家肌の経営者タイプを思わせるような人柄で、われわれを歓迎してくれた。
われわれは、とも子がこのような良い人柄の家庭に住まわせてもらっていることに非常に感謝をするとともに、また安心もした。
われわれは、日本から持参していたシルクでできた押し絵をプレゼントした。
これは、日本の伝統工芸品で、ニュージーランドでは大変珍しいと思ったから持参したわけである。
こちらにわれわれが作っている押し絵のホームページを載せている。
このホームページには、アメリカなどの海外から譲ってほしいという電子メールがよく届いていた。
