そこへ、通り掛かりの地元の人の車が、停車してくれて、タイヤのパンクを親切にも治してくれる．
６０歳ぐらいの御夫妻であつた．
地獄に仏とはこのことなり！

この男性非常に手際がいい。
またたく間にタイヤの交換を終了してしまった。
私たちは感謝感激で、手厚いお礼をこの方に言って、名前を聞いて分かれたが、その後現在に至るまで文通が続いている。
毎年ノルウェーのカレンダーを送ってくれたり、娘さんが作った手作りの工芸品などを送ってくれたりしている。
このページの写真に掲載しているのはそのひとつである。
またこの男性Kåre Hellandの娘さん Mette Karinが民族衣装を着た写真を送ってくれたのでこのページに掲載している。
またこの男性の友人であるもう1人の男性Einar Trulssenの紹介を電子メールでしてくれた。

 R243を逆に戻る最中にパンク− 地元の通り掛かりの車に助けられる−Lærdal-Aurland-
フィヨルドの谷底の道を走っていると、目的の山越えの道が見つかった。この道に車を入れると、坂道をつづら折りになっての登り道となっていた。
フィヨルドの岸壁にへばりつくように道は上に向かって登っていくようになっていた。
道幅はあまり広くなくせなかったために車はあまりスピードを出せなかった。
これがしかし幸いした。
半分ぐらい坂道を上ってところで、急に車体の下の方から激しい音とともにハンドルの自由がきかなくなった。
あわててハンドルを山側に切り、車の車体を何とか止めることができた。
フィヨルドの先のとがつた石の破片を、踏んだため、タイヤに切れ目が入リ、バ−スト破烈する．
坂の上り道だつたため、あまりスピ−ドを出していなく、谷と反対の山側に車をぶつけて停止、九死に一生を得る．
車を降りてタイヤを見てみると、大きな亀裂が入ってて使えるような状態ではなかった。
うしろのトランクを開けてみたら、交換用のタイヤが見当たらない。
レンタカーなのでそんなものかと考えて、登ってきたところのガソリンスタンドまで一旦戻って、そこでタイヤ交換をするしかないなと考えて車を坂道を降らせ始めた。
するとした下の方から車がこの坂道を登ってきた。
これ幸いと、車を止まってもらって、タイヤがパンクしたことを告げると、親切にもこの運転手の男性が車のタイヤの交換をこの場でやってくれ始めた。

rose painting . It is the one often used for the Christmas tree in Norway.

ここからGudvangan行きのフェリ−が出る．
しかし、到着して聞いてみると、次のフェリ−は、２１時発−Gudvangan到着２３：４５だと言う．
よわつた！！！！
他にフェリ−は、ないのかと聞くと、もうないとのこと．
ベルゲンへ行きたいというと、やはり、それなら、ここからFodnesまで車で行き、Fodnesで船で一度対岸のMannhellerにわたり、５号線で
Kaupanger、Sogndalまで行き、そこから５５号線で、Leikanger経由で、Hellaまで車で北上し、Hellaからもう一度フェリ−で、こちら岸のVangnesにあがり、今度は１３号線にのり、Vikまででて、ここから、初めて山越えをするしか方法がないとのこと、先ほどの除雪車の人と同じ事を言う．（コース地図）ーL?rdal-Aurland(R-243)への道ー
Laerdalの観光案内所から、Fodnesへは、新しい長大トンネルでつながつていた．
