ノルウェ−の物価が高かくて、用意したNkrがすぐに足りなくなつた．

holder til i den eldste av museets bygninger som ble bygget i 1865. Bygget
ble arkitekttegnet av Johan H. Nebelong fra Kbenhavn og hadde en kostnadsramme
p 40 000 speciedaler. Men det som er vanlig i dag var ogs vanlig p den
tiden -
kostnadsoverslagene var altfor lave. De totale kostnadene
ble 64 000 specie daler.
Museumshagen ble satt i stand senere, og var ferdig med
et drivhus 蚌 1899.

A unique collection of traditional small craft is displayed in the Boathall,
supplied with exhibitions of fishers, coastal life and regional cultures.
The main building galleries offer full-size original interiors from vessels
past and present, together with a vast collection of models of ships from
the Vikings, and the age of sail to the supertankers,
cruise liners and oil rigs of today. Separate displays are devoted to polar
exploration, whaling and the merchant fleet at war.
