本論文は，1991001『危機の構造』 257頁に，「International Conference on the Sociology of Law に発表」と記載された文献である。ただし，正確にいうと，本論文は “ International Sociological Association (ISA) ” の下部組織である “ Research Committee on Sociology of Law (RCSL) ” に発表されたものである。

1975年9月1～4日，法社会学理論国際シンポジウム（ＩＳＡ法社会学研究委員会東京会議、国際法社会学委員会（RCSL）の年次大会）が日本（東京・箱根）で開催された際，シンポジウムに参加された小室直樹博士が参加者に配布された英語論文。
小室直樹博士の発表は，箱根・ホテル花月園で行われた Session I : Theory in Sociology of Law （9月2日 14:00～18:00）の 5番目。
